We are so thankful to have received you from our daughter while she was in college, who had made the decision to save you from a pet store. Yes, a common story of many parents, but oh, how grateful we were to have this precious, velvety eared puppy, by default, brought into our home.
Tucker was The Best Boy. He overachieved in the protection department. His job was serious, you know, while watching over me for over 10 years, as I worked in my hair salon, never missing a day. Most times, alerting me before clients were ever at the door. We had the top of the line alarm system. He greeted my guests with his buoyant barks and then laid down while putting himself between me and the door. He gave us his all, even nearly to the end when he wasn’t feeling well and in pain. Your absence has been immensely affected by so many who loved you.
You loved your walks with Dad, our hikes in the mountains, chasing chipmunks, laying by the fireplace and any type of high quality food. Fresh cherry tomatoes didn’t have a chance if they hung low enough on the vines in our garden for you to pluck late in the Summer. We will never forget your sweet, gentle, and loving ways. Thank you for allowing us to share in your beautiful life.
Run, jump, and play, pain free, dear boy. We will see you again, Tuck Tuck, on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
